SubcontractSuite

Construction payment software that collects while you build

The payment schedule you set on the quote becomes real the moment the client signs: deposit due now, milestones on their dates, balance at completion. Clients pay online; reminders do the chasing.

Sound familiar?
  • Asking for money is the job nobody wants — so invoices go out late.
  • Checks arrive 'next week' for three weeks straight.
  • Nobody is sure which client paid what, or what's still owed.

The schedule becomes invoices — automatically

Sign → the deposit is due, dated milestones queue up, and the balance arms itself for completion day. Nothing to remember, nothing to draft.

Clients pay from their phone

Card, bank transfer, or financing options — right in their portal, against a clean itemized amount. Receipts email themselves the moment payment lands.

Reminders that don't get awkward

When a payment comes due, the client gets a friendly text or email with a pay link — and a weekly nudge until it's settled. You get one digest, not a collections shift.

Change orders bill themselves

An approved change order adjusts the contract total and adds its amount to the payment plan on its own. Extra work becomes extra revenue, not a forgotten favor.

Every dollar accounted for

Paid, due, overdue and refunded — with receipts, retainage and processing-fee tracking — reconciled on the project's Money tab and across your reports.

Automation

What it does while you sleep

These run on their own — no reminders to remember, no tabs to check.

  • Turns the signed payment schedule into live invoices
  • Texts and emails pay-links when amounts come due, then weekly
  • Emails receipts the moment a payment settles
  • Flips completion-due balances on the day you mark the job done

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What payment methods can clients use?

Card and ACH bank transfer, plus financing options like Klarna and Affirm where available — all through Stripe, in the client's portal.

Do I have to send the payment reminders?

No — that's the point. Due and overdue payments trigger polite reminders automatically, and you get a digest of what went out.

Can I still take checks and cash?

Of course. Record them in a click and they reconcile into the same payment history, receipts and reports as card payments.
